March 14, 1986	Lycanthrope makes 1st appearance, joins Force-1.
March 15, 1986	Eurostar sneaks into an American prison to kill the Whip for his attacks on them long ago. He convinces them to let him join them instead, and they free him from prison.
March 19, 1986	GAMMA is found to be in control of Puerto Sierra via the Red Skull. The Avengers intercede and are captured.
March 21, 1986	Resistance movement begins on Puerto Sierra.
March 22, 1986	Avengers free Puerto Sierra from GAMMA. 1st known appearance of Gamma Prime. Captain America II proposes to Merlinia. Power Master makes 1st appearance.
March 23, 1986	Rightful government of Puerto Sierra restored.
April 1986	Lady Victory begins fighting crime in Philadelphia.
April 4, 1986	1st appearance of Solvent.

Aug. 16, 1986	Merlinia and Steve Rogers travel to the Dragonlands to rescue Lefty. Sir Perrus makes 1st appearance.
Sept. 4, 1986	Dr. Destroyer has Mentalla infiltrate Eurostar.
Sept. 10, 1986	Merlinia kills the sorcerer Nerken. The dragon he is riding hits the side of the World Trade Center.
Oct. 1986	The Mask and Lady Victory are first seen as a team in Philadelphia.
Oct. 13, 1986	The hero Seaspray is killed by Eurostar off the coast of Spain as they attempt to hijack an UNTIL ship.
Dec. 1986	Merlinia, Donarr and Captain America II capture Airacobra and Iron Maiden of the League of Doom.
Feb. 1987	The Protectors of Los Angeles fight their most infamous battle against Lucifer at a public ceremony honoring their exploits.  Lucifer and his mercenaries murder 65 civillians as well as Dynamo, Lady Lazer and Alex 2000.  Lucifer falls to his death when his flight belt is damaged by Lotus.
March 1987	Lotus announces in a press conference that the Protectors of Los Angeles are disbanding due to lack of sufficient membership to perform their duties and the fact that their arch foe, Lucifer, is apparently defeated for good.
June 1987	Mask and Lady Victory deal a crushing blow to the League of Doom as they capture Diamondhead, Armadillo, Solvent and Roulette in two separate incidents.
June 25, 1987	The Red Skull plots to destroy the U.S. Senate.
June 15, 1987	Dr. Power makes 1st appearance. Silver Orb appearance.
July 1987	The Avengers face the remainder of the League of Doom. Howler, Mind Slayer and Manticore are captured. Sorcerer Supreme is apparently killed, breaking the organization for what is thought for good.
July 3, 1987	Electra and Starshine leave the Avengers.
July 4, 1987	Garbage Man makes 1st appearance. Jester dies in an “accident”. Heroes save President. Captain America II “retires”. 1st appearance of Wonder Boy.
July 6, 1987	Captain America’s shield is stolen from Chemo Labs by Betsy Clarke. She assumes the identity of Captain America III.
July 20, 1987	Ramses attempts a takeover of Egypt. The Avengers stop him. (1st appearances of Ramses and Captain America III.) Torpedo and Icestar join the Avengers.
July 23, 1987	Goliath retires when his belt is destroyed. Sorcerer Supreme is blasted into the Demon Dimension.
July 30, 1987	1st appearance of Blackfire.
Aug. 1, 1987	1st appearance of White Wolf.
Aug. 2, 1987	1st appearance of the Amazing Darkon. Kinetic is handed over to PRIMUS.
Aug. 4, 1987	Kinetic and the Avengers are captured by GAMMA. Kinetic apparently kills Dr. Arndee.
Aug. 5, 1987	The Avengers discover Meglo is a cover for GAMMA.
Aug. 6, 1987	Merlinia resigns as chairman of the Avengers.
Aug. 7, 1987	The Avengers assault Meglo. Chicago is under siege. Dr. Ruby discovered to be the mastermind behind the plot.
Aug. 11, 1987	Merlinia is reinstated as Avengers chairman. Kinetic and Captain America III are made Avengers in training.
Aug. 21, 1987	The Seven Horsemen make 1st appearance by attacking Avengers Mansion.
Sept. 9, 1987	Kinetic helps in Stronghold breakout. Sunflare leaves the Guardians.
Sept. 12, 1987	Starsong leaves the Avengers.
Sept. 13, 1987	Vowing revenge on the Avengers for “killing” him, Sorcerer Supreme opens a dimensional gate. Demons attack New York City, but are met by the combined forces of the Avengers and the Challengers.
Sept. 14, 1987	The combined might of the Challengers and the Avengers repel the demon attack. The Challengers are separated from the Avengers during the final moments of the fight. Merlinia destroys the Staff of Meltocoles to stop the demon invasion and close the gate. The Challengers are trapped on the other side when the gate closes. The fallout cures Merlinia of her illness. The final fate of the Challengers remains a mystery.
Sept. 15, 1987	Ronin makes 1st appearance. Enforcer’s armor is destroyed.
Sept. 29, 1987	Northern Star makes 1st appearance. Worm Sceptre is lost.
Oct. 12, 1987	Dark Thunder II’s armor is destroyed. Marksman, Gold Wing and Quantum join the Avengers. Kinetic made a full Avenger.
Oct. 25, 1987	Master Stroke makes 1st appearance. Avengers receive funding from Donald Atwood foundation.
Oct. 26, 1987	Hellspawn is discovered to be alive.
Nov. 11, 1987	Rajah makes his 1st appearance when he attacks Merlinia. 2nd Stronghold facility begins construction.
Nov. 19, 1987	Merlinia kills Hellspawn in Limbo.
Dec. 12, 1987	Reports of The Shape in the Outback of Australia attract Captain Australia’s attention. He intends to investigate the next day.
Dec. 13, 1987	Dr. Destroyer takes the Philippine monster Lava to Sidney, Australia. Captain Australia prevents the monster from causing much damage, but is forced to finally call the Guardians for help.
Dec. 14, 1987	The Guardians arrive in Sidney and help Captain Australia subdue Lava. Meanwhile, the Conquerors break into the Guardians’ base and make duplicates of all of their files for Dr. Destroyer.
Feb. 1, 1988	White Flame joins Eurostar.
April 23, 1988	Eurostar attacks Destroyer’s installation in Portugal, where Menton is attacking Mentalla. The installation is destroyed in the battle which ensues between the group and Destroyer, Menton and the destroids. Mentalla is rescued and joins Eurostar.
April 28, 1988	Karl “the Killer” Knudsen, a professional wrestler, is discovered to be a mutant and goes on a rampage in New York. The Zodiac shows up before the Avengers and recruit him as Aries.
May 14, 1988	Utility and Crusader fight in Coney Island. Utility beats the vigilante and publicly humiliates him.
Aug. 1, 1988	Ace Guard battles the Alliance of Soviet Paranormals in Turkey. (Ace Guard #1)

Feb. 3, 1989	Steve Rogers discovers that he is the son of the original Captain America. Captain America II meets Madame Guillotine.
Feb. 8, 1989	Jarth, Vincent Dimitrios’ alien disciple, betrays him and gives him over to the evil Tyrannon. Tyrannon places him within the Thanic Rod.
Feb. 11, 1989	Starsong returns to Earth and finds energy sphere in orbit. The Avengers hire Les Edwards as team physician.
Feb. 14, 1989	Kidnapping attempt on British delegate to the International Symposium on Terrorism foiled by Captain Britain.
Feb. 19, 1989	Captain Britain averts rail disaster in Whitehaven, England.
March 5, 1989	Darkseid begins a plot to destroy Earth. Many earth leaders are kidnapped. Avengers defeat War. Kilroy makes 1st appearance.
March 6, 1989	Massive flooding in China. The Avengers defeat Famine. Disease in Panama. The Avengers defeat Pestilence.
March 7, 1989	Avengers stop Darkseid’s Megatank and Doomsday Bomb and defeat Death. Darkseid warns the Avengers with a display of his power. Torpedo leaves the Avengers. Marksman suffers a nervous breakdown. Gold Wing takes a personal leave.
April 1, 1989	CLOWN makes its 1st appearance. 1st appearance of Daedalus and Psylocke. Kilroy, Daedalus and Psylocke join the Avengers. Captain Britain is contacted about forming Euro-Avengers
April 8, 1989	Wonder Boy betrays the Avengers. Ramses is apparently killed when his flying Pyramid base crashes into the ocean.
May 3, 1989	Blink assembles Captain Britain, Mirage, and Argenta to defeat Ch’Andarra. Euro-Avengers is formed. Blink makes 1st appearance. Captain Britain loses his amplifier suit.
May 5, 1989	The Light Brigade attacks Euro-Avengers
May 12, 1989	Death Knell is captured by Captain Britain and Mirage.
May 14, 1989	Psylocke telepathically helps Death Knell. Dr. Buckaroo Banzai makes 1st appearance.
June 18, 1989	The Avengers discover NSD (Near Space Defense) when they attempt to steal an Avengers’ Quinjet.
June 25, 1989	1st appearance of Citadel. NICER chair stolen by VIPER.
July 2, 1989	COBRA blacks out New York City. Kilroy kills Black Mamba. Crystar makes 1st appearance.
July 9, 1989	Kilroy is court martialed and expelled from the Avengers. Merlinia resigns and leaves the team. The Avengers stop an attack on Wakandan Vibranium mines and find Kinetic (now Momentum).
Aug. 6, 1989	Captain America III is elected chairman of the Avengers. Black Mamba II makes her 1st appearance.
Aug. 20, 1989	Merlinia rejoins the Avengers. Malice is placed in stasis.
Sept. 1, 1989	Foxbat tries to get his own comic book.
Sept. 24, 1989	Rook joins the Avengers. 1st appearance of Fosfiend. Pulsar is killed. Agent Hart (DEA) makes 1st appearance. The Packmaster is killed. 1st appearance of Dragonlord. Fosfiend disappears. Momentum disappears.
Sept. 25, 1989	The Red Skull takes over the White House. The Avengers stop him and rescue the President. The Red Skull is captured but later escapes. Captain America III is wounded.
Nov. 9, 1989	Berlin Wall is torn down.
March 20, 1990	1st appearance of Rainbow.
March 21, 1990	Lady Viper makes 1st appearance.
May 6, 1990	Space shuttle Intrepid lifts off ahead of schedule to secretly rendezvous with a mysterious craft detected in orbit by the Hubble telescope.
May 7, 1990	Contact lost with space shuttle Intrepid. The crew has been killed by the Keeltori occupants of the derelict. Fearing a possible invasion, President Bush calls in the Avengers for help.
May 12, 1990	A group of Keetori-possessed supers, lead by Esper, attack the NASA launch complex. The Avengers defeat them, but Esper manages to sneak aboard the Atlantis and hide. 1st appearance of Esper.
May 13, 1990	The Avengers lift off into orbit aboard the shuttle Atlantis and fight the Keeltori on the derelict spacecraft. Esper is successful in freeing many of the Keeltory “life crystals” into space where they will eventually fall to Earth, but Esper is killed. The Avengers return to earth after destroying the remaining crystals, leaving the Keeltori vessel in orbit.
May 17, 1990	Nightweb makes 1st appearance. WEB and VIPER start turf war in San Francisco as Lady Viper and Spider Queen fight for control of the city’s criminal profits. Nightblade and Rainbow disrupts the activities of both organizations.
June 7, 1990	Marksman is checked out of the hospital. The Wondroid is discovered in a hidden compartment in Avengers Mansion.
June 8, 1990	Mechanon’s base in Canada is destroyed.
June 12, 1990	A mysterious idol is delivered to Shadowblade.
June 14, 1990	Darkling attacks Shadowblade. Merlinia encounters Dream Thief.
June 15, 1990	Strange UFO sightings in Florida.
June 16, 1990	Black Panther arrives in New York to address the United Nations. Torpedo assists in Ohio flood clean-up.
June 17, 1990	Lexcorp announces Man Augmentation Program seminars. Bizarre murder of prostitute in New York.
June 20, 1990	Professor Muerte escapes from Stronghold.
June 23, 1990	Black Panther leaves New York.
July 1, 1990	Iran accepts Soviet Super powered assistance in cleanup of massive earthquake.
July 4, 1990	Captain America II appears in parade. Messerschmidt addresses press at old site of Checkpoint Charlie.
July 6, 1990	Marksman raids a VIPER nest in Dallas.
July 7, 1990	2nd bizarre murder in New York, this time of a college student.
July 9, 1990	Explosion at the Hilton. The Avengers return.
July 10, 1990	Superman rescues a damaged airliner.
July 12, 1990	Foxbat’s robbery of a Toys’ R’ Us is foiled. Foxbat escapes.
July 13, 1990	Warm current discovered near the Sea of Japan.
July 15, 1990	Grond goes on rampage in a small town in the mid-west and then disappears. Another victim of the “vampire” killer is found in New York.
July 18, 1990	Soviet Union questions U.S. about space object. The U.S. is silent.
July 27, 1990	Rook battles Ladybug in Metropolis. Dugger Birch’s bike wins Expo-2000 race.
Jul 27-28, 1990	Lexcorp sponsors Man Amplification Program symposium.
July 30, 1990	Kalibak attacks Avengers Mansion.
Aug. 1, 1990	Amid mounting U.N. pressure for information, a team of reserve and current Avengers pilot the Keeltori spacecraft out of Earth orbit and into deep space on a mission of discovery. The craft is christened Intrepid, in honor of the crew of the NASA vessel that gave their lives in such a pursuit.
Aug. 3, 1990	Sonic Man meets Thunder and Lightning.
Aug. 1990	Further disappearances in Los Angeles.
Aug. 8,1990	Sonic Man, Nightblade, and Energizer disrupt crimson Cult activity in Los Angeles. Sonic Man meets Katerina.
Sept. 1990	Overlord meets with the Avengers.
Sept. 10, 1990	Evenstar’s 1st appearance.
Sept. 11, 1990	Madame Xanadu’s 1st appearance. Sonic Man captured by Crimson Cult.
Nov. 1, 1990	Strange meteorite discovered near Mustang Hill, Texas turns out to be a Keeltory life crystal. Most of the town’s residents fall under the groupmind’s control. The Avengers must face the Keeltory forces. They emerge victorious.
Nov. 6, 1990	Esper (I) is killed.
Dec. 22, 1990	Captain America II leaves for Saudi Arabia.
Jan. 17, 1991	Merlinia leaves the Avengers.
March 1991	Sonicman II hangs up his hero identity to pursue a music career full time.
Aug. 8, 1991	The Ultimates and Griffin (whom they had tricked into helping them) battle Firewing over a misunderstanding in Milwaukee. The battle spreads to a major roleplaying game convention. Firewing has the upper hand until Plasmoid almost kills him with an energy blast. Firewing leaves, swearing that he’ll get revenge.
Oct. 13, 1991	Spandau prison is completely renovated to be a “super-prison” in Europe, similar to Stronghold in the U.S. It is run by UNTIL and a multi-national European staff. Facet is its first inmate.
Nov. 30, 1991	Director Oliver Stone’s new movie, JFK, proposes the idea that the Military-Industrial Complex, in league with VIPER, was behind the assassination of President Kennedy.
Dec. 8, 1991	The Soviet national government is declared dead by Russia, Byelorussia and Ukraine. They would form a new alliance known as the Commonwealth of Independent States.
July 23, 1992	The Sentinels stop Dr. Destroyer from drawing asteroids down on the Earth but at a cost of over 50 superheroes and over 60,000 citizens of Detroit. Dr. Destroyer is assumed dead.
Nov. 1992	Bill Clinton is elected 42nd president of the United States, defeating incumbent president George Bush.
Jan. 3, 1993	U.S. and Russia sign the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START II), and agreement to eliminate all land-based multiple-warhead missiles and a two-thirds reduction of long-range nuclear weapons. Other provisions of the treaty limit the use of superpowered beings by each government.
Feb. 28, 1995	Nightshift clashes with Bullet’s Raiders and the Harbinger of Justice. Rumors circulate that the Hudson City Police Department hired the mercenary group to capture the elusive Harbinger of Justice. Two jeweled daggers are stolen from the Hudson City Museum of World Art. The daggers were originally used by the Egyptian pharaoh Amen-ha-tefra.
March 26, 1995	Police forensics scientist Barry Allen is injured in a freak accident when the lab he is working in is hit by lightning.
March 30, 1995	Damon Harrington increases the reward for the capture of Nightshift to one million dollars.
March 31, 1995	An assassination attempt by Green Dragon, Sparkler and Lazer (2) on the mayor of Santa Monica is foiled by the new hero Quicksilver.
April 6, 1995	Black Arrow makes his 2nd appearance when he breaks into the offices of Corp One, kills 3 security guards and steals an unrevealed object.
April 14, 1995	Black Arrow once again breaks into Corp One’s offices and gains access to the company’s computer records. A security guard and cleaning woman are found dead.
April 15, 1995	Police in Los Angeles respond to a disturbance in a public park where a young girl exhibits uncontrolled cold powers. The girl is subdued and taken into custody.
April 19, 1995	The villainess known as Madame Crystal Frigia breaks into the police station and kidnaps a girl the police had taken into custody 4 days earlier.
April 20, 1995	Queen of Diamonds makes her 1st appearance, robbing a large jewelry store in Los Angeles.
April 22, 1995	The New Protectors make their 1st appearance in Los Angeles stopping an attack by large, white wolf-like creatures. Pharaoh slays an innocent woman in order to force the superheroine Jaguar out of hiding.
April 24, 1995	The New Protectors battle the murderous Pharaoh and capture him, preventing further slayings.
April 27, 1995	Madame Crystal Frigia and her new partner, Coldsnap, attack the UCLA Medical Center in an attempt to kid Dr. Yana Knurasen. Officer Mark Collins, leader of the LAPD Phoenix Team is critically wounded and loses an arm in the attack. Frigia is wounded and the villainous duo makes their escape.
May 4, 1995	The “ice-wolves” captured by the New Protectors are housed in the Los Angeles Zoo.
May 7, 1995	The LAPD Phoenix Team and the superheroine Flare (2) raid the warehouse hideout of Black Arrow, but he eludes capture. Flare reveals that she is re-locating to Los Angeles from San Francisco.
May 8, 1995	Ice Shadow saves a group of local musicians when a structural support collapsed at the Sonninger Concert Hall.
Aug. 27, 1995	NASA refuses to give permission to Dr. Reed Richards to proceed with the test flight of his experimental space shuttle.
Sept. 8, 1995	Reed Richards and a crew of three others blast off in his experimental shuttle in violation of the government “no fly” order.
Sept. 9, 1995	The Newton, Reed Richards’ experimental shuttle, crashes in the Mojave desert. All survive but are quickly taken to an undisclosed location.
Sept. 10, 1995	Armbruster Industries opens a robotics plant in Hudson City, TX.
Oct. 10, 1995	The Fantastic Four are attacked by unknown terrorists at a press conference. The high-tech agents are quickly subdued.
Oct. 16, 1995	The Flash (II), TOFU and Iguana join the Avengers as trainees.
Oct. 17, 1995	Rebels seize control of the capitol of Latveria. King Rudolph is assassinated.
Oct. 19, 1995	An attempted invasion by cybernetic beings from a parallel dimension known as the Mechanoids is foiled by the Avengers. Lady Victory, TOFU, Iguana (Raptor) and Rainbow Archer join the Avengers.
Oct. 20, 1995	Government forces regain control of the capitol of Latveria and drive out rebel forces.
